Hyatt House Raleigh / Rdu / Brier Creek

I live the Hyatt Hotels! I normally choose Hyatt whenever I am traveling. Checking In and Checking Out were both effortless. I was greeted each time and the staff members were very attentive and helpful. The couch by the window was perfect; I love writing/journaling and wanted to bring the new year in in peace and quiet while reflecting on life and 2023. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast is very filling and there is a good mixture of hot and cold foods; everything was delicious! I spent some time by the fire pit before leaving the property; actually I'm typing this post while sitting by the fire pit.

We had the unfortunate luck of getting a room which faced another building, and that building had a lot of bright lights which shone into our room. It didn’t help that the shade didn’t close all the way, and let light in. This led to a not-so-great sleep. Otherwise, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was good, and it was clean. If the room had better shades, this would have been a 5 star review.

This hotel experience was a nightmare for me. I stayed at this location 4 days and 3 nights for the first time traveling in from Connecticut, an 8 Hour drive and I was welcomed into my room with a horrible smell of elderly diapers, and bodily waste. The bathroom sink and tub drains where filled with hair as well as my bed sheets and pillows. The pillows were filthy with bodily fluid and the bed was made as if the sheets weren't washed and the bed was just re-made. I had to rush to the nearest Walmart to buy cleaning supplies to clean my room due to the maintenance people not being available at the time I made them aware of the room. I wasn't provided a new room but I was provided new sheets that I had to put on the bed myself. As well as make another trip to the front desk because I wasn't provided any pillows or even a blanket I was provided a fitted sheet and a flat sheet. I contacted the manager and let him know of the issues I was having as well as the front desk a no one made it their priority to fix the situation. It is very unfortunate that I had to make my own bed as well as clean my entire room to have a decent stay. The only pleasant thing I experienced was breakfast. - image is all the bedding I had to take off due to it being filled with hair and bodily fluids.

Great hotel. We stayed here for one night because we're flying out of RDU. So we chose this place because of the distance to the airport and the amenities. The amenities were really fantastic. Firepit, grill, nice indoor pool, great gym, billiards room with acoustic guitars, a bar and one of the better included hotel breakfasts I've had. We'd absolutely stay here again. Ps - mellow mushroom and Walgreens is less than a mile walk, which was also great.

I have frequently stayed at this hotel, but this time was definitely the most disappointing were stay. There was bugs wrapped up in the paper towel. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was broken so the toilet paper constantly fell on the floor. The door to the hotel room would not like it would not deadbolt. At my time of checkout, I expressed his concerns, and the younger male did not care at all. He did not even ask how our stay was. He did not take any notes to improve the stay for the next person very terrible experience would not come back again.

I need to update my previous 5* review. I stayed here recently over Thanksgiving. I had my globalist concierge request a crib at the time of booking and I personally called the day of to make sure that a crib would be available. I was driving from only 4 hours away and could have brought a pack&play with me if I hadn't even assured there would be one in the room. At check in I asked if it was already set up in the room and was told that it should be. When we got to the room it was not there so my husband called the front desk. The gentleman that checked us in admitted he was the only one working and wouldn't even know where to look for one. We got no sleep for our 2 day stay. The room was not cleaned well and had an awful odor. No omelet station as advertised. Breakfast was chaotic and even though it was nearly 30m before breakfast ended almost everything was gone. This hotel doesn't seem prepared for busy/holiday weeks. _______________________________ I stayed in room #227 and really enjoyed it. The AC worked great, TV had chromecast and very comfy bed and bedding. The bathroom was sparkling clean but the shower door seemed to leak so even with a towel on the floor the tile was very slippery after showering. Water pressure wasn't great but they have soft water which was nice. Despite being sold out the hotel was very quiet. Its not a very walkable part of town but there are plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. My toddler really enjoyed the Brier creek park which was about half a mile away. We have family in the area and will definitely return to this hotel.
